As you all know, Harry, Ron and I were absent for most of the school year, and we weren't there to be with you when bad things were happening. When we came back, I was surprised by the changes Hogwarts had gone through -- by the changes that all of you had gone through, and I want to thank all of you. Your continuous efforts are very appreciated, as proven by this award. Let's not think badly of what we have; the most important thing is that we should all be grateful that we're all still here, alive, and let's remember and honour those who are not. I believe that was the point of the award we received.

Some of my students have been asking me questions about what's going on. A few of them are still very confused as to why people keep dying even when Yo Voldemort's not here anymore, and one of them even asked me if their families are going to end up dying too. Of course, I told them no -- but I think that maybe it would be a good idea if we explain to them that their families can take precautions, though! I have a feeling that all of you would know this already -- but I hope that when this matter arises with your students, you'll be able to explain to them in a kinder way, especially towards the much younger ones. If you have any problems with your students about this, do let me know and I will try my best to help.

While checking a few OWL-level Arithmancy essays yesterday, I noticed that some of my students' essays were quite similar to each other. And just yesterday, I managed to catch a few of them trying to copy off each other during a short test I gave them. I hope everyone is aware of this situation and strongly discourage your students from committing any form of cheating, as it would not help them improve at all in their studies.

I'd like to ask for your help, if you're not too busy this weekend. I've put some thought into what happened during the auction, and after thinking about the two previous duels that I've been involved in, one of the problems that I had was that I was unable to handle too many things at once. I mentioned this briefly at the D.A meeting, but when I was up against the Death Eater with Sasha, I was unable to protect her, myself, and attack the Death Eater at the same time. I was wondering if we could get together and replay some sort of situation (without using Dark Magic, of course) and practice working together (and against each other) in an almost real situation.

If it works out, we could, perhaps, incorporate it into one of the Defence Seminar sessions, or during one of the D.A meetings.

I received a threat letter. Don't worry, though; I'm going to send this to the DMLE and put up wards around the house. I'm trying to get my parents to not come back late from their work, too -- but it seems more difficult for them because they're Muggles. I don't want to have to send them far away again.

I've been busy lately, but it doesn't take a lot to see people stressing out over exams. I hope all of you did well!

You know, I quite like Sundays. I found some time to go through the last three chapters for Fifth Year Ancient Runes to teach the students on Monday, and my parents and I are going out for lunch today. They've been busy attending to their patients all week long, so I think it'll be nice.

Flipping through my old textbooks, I'm remembering how fun it was to learn these back then. I remember the exams being stressful, and I can't imagine what it must be like for all of you taking N.E.W.Ts soon, even though I suppose I'll know soon, since I'll be taking it later next year. I hope you're all well-prepared, and if you ever need help with some of the Sixth Year topics, I'd be happy to help!

I've been putting this off and not mentioning it much, but I'm rather disappointed that our last D.A meeting went horribly. I didn't expect Padma to get upset like that, and I'm just surprised at how argumentative everyone was about the prospect of fighting Death Eaters. It's good that they have their opinions about the matter as it shows that they do care about what we're going to do with the D.A, but I wish it was handled better. Maybe I'm used to seeing them agree to what we plan during our Fifth Year, and things have changed since then, but I expected something better than that. I understand their reluctance to fight, though -- it's expected that they don't want to do any of that after what's happened. But we know that things aren't just going to end like that, and I know that too, and while I don't exactly think we should be seeking out for Death Eaters either, we should do something about it, because as long as they're there, our families are not safe. I don't want my parents to be put through what I did before, and I don't want any of us to be scared for them anymore.

From what I've seen they seem to think that the best way to handle the issue is to let the DMLE do their job, which I understand -- so perhaps we can somehow involve someone from there that we can trust?

We received a letter from Georgina Barkwith, the president of Wizarding Liberties Defence League that aims to protect wizards' rights and stop discrimination and prejudice. She has apparently heard about our boycotting efforts and has invited us to Barkwith Manor today at 4PM to have a meeting with the WLDL to provide some guidance as to how to proceed further with our efforts. I think this will definitely be beneficial for all of us if we intend to lobby some sort of law against anti-Muggleborn businesses. They were, after all, involved in the efforts protest against Dolores Umbridge's anti-werewolf legislation and Muggleborn Registration Commission, so they would be able to provide us a lot of information regarding their experiences. I hope that all of you will be able to make it.

Somewhat related to my previous ward, I was wondering if you could help me do some research about Fiendfyres. I don't exactly have full access to the necessary books (I think that most of them would involve Dark Magic anyway, and I'm sure some are banned). It would be useful if you've been reading anything useful during your Auror training that has something to do with it.

It's been a while since we talked about this, but I want to know your thoughts on continuing with trying to find ways to track the Death Eaters' journals. After Daniel and Megan's kidnappings, it would be useful if we figure out a way to break into the journalling network somehow, even though I know it's going to be very difficult and complicated. I managed to find some books that addresses the theories regarding Tracking Charms, though, which could be helpful, if anyone wants to read them as well.

I feel like they should deserve to know, and it doesn't matter anymore what the Death Eaters want, they already know we know about this.
